Making Non-Fiction Tech Savvy!

We have been working hard the past two weeks learning about non-fiction text features and how they are helpful when we are reading a non-fiction text. To show that we have learned why the features are important when presenting non-fiction information we researched different animals and then created projects using non-fiction text features ourselves! We designed the projects using the Pic Collage app and then smashed them into the Thing Link app where we added videos explaining the reason the specific text features were used for each project. I was so impressed watching the kids be creative with their designs, discover how to edit the length of their video clips, and so much more. By the end they were even teaching ME new tricks on the iPads! Most importantly, however, I enjoyed watching how much fun they had creating the projects and loved that they continually alluded to wanting to learn as much as possible about the animals they were researching in their comments!
